Our
History
 Founded
in 1969 as the JFK Airport Brokers Association with approximately
30 members, we have grown to 120 regular members. Over the
years we have developed a close working relationship with
CBP resulting in constant dialogue in finding speedy solutions
to procedural and day-to-day problems.
We have evolved
from a reputation of being a rather parochial and maverick
organization, to a gentler mode as an integral and important
participant in the workings of the International Trade community
at JFK International Airport, throughout the Port of New York,
and in matters of concern nationally.
We credit our
officers and board members from the inception of this Association
who have continually taken time from their daily responsibilities
to help continue our work. We have also been fortunate to
have the services of Carl Soller since the 1970s, one of the
most knowledgeable Customs attorneys in areas relating to
brokerage rules and regulations.
